What you get in each mode
Not every feature on The Taurus is available in every mode. The sections below show exactly which capabilities are included, so you can determine which mode fits your workflow.
Verified mode (free)
Verified mode covers compliance management for organizations that do not need to create their own notices:
- External notice management -- view and track transparency notices created by others that are linked to your organization
- Complaint management -- receive and manage complaints routed to your organization
- Sponsor/publisher data -- maintain your organization's identity, contact details, and compliance profile
- Public compliance profile -- a public-facing profile that demonstrates your organization's compliance posture
Verified mode gives you everything you need to manage external compliance obligations. There are no time limits and no hidden restrictions.
Ensured Sponsor
Everything in Verified mode, plus full notice creation and team features:
- Notice creation and publishing -- the full 11-step wizard for creating transparency notices
- QR code generation -- download QR codes for each published notice in print-ready formats
- Public notice viewer -- your published notices are available at ttad.eu for anyone to view
- Campaigns -- group related notices together and track aggregate spending across an entire campaign
- Team members -- invite colleagues to your organization and assign them roles (Owner, Editor, Viewer)
- Sponsor templates -- save and reuse sponsor, payer, and data controller details across multiple notices so your team does not re-enter the same information every time
- CSV import -- upload a spreadsheet to create multiple notices in bulk instead of filling out the wizard one by one
- Edit locking -- when one team member is editing a notice, others see a lock indicator preventing conflicting changes

When you encounter a locked feature
If you try to use a feature that is not included in your current mode, The Taurus shows an upgrade prompt. This prompt explains which Ensured plan includes the feature and provides a direct link to your organization's billing page where you can upgrade.
Your data is never blocked or hidden. You can always view existing items -- the restriction applies only to creating new items or performing actions that require the Ensured feature set. This means that if you downgrade to Verified mode, your existing campaigns, team settings, and notices remain visible in read-only mode.
