Learn what The Taurus is, who it helps, and how it simplifies compliance with EU Regulation 2024/900 on political advertising transparency.

A compliance platform for political advertising transparency

The Taurus is a platform that helps you comply with EU Regulation 2024/900 — the Political Advertising Regulation (PAR). This regulation requires anyone placing political advertising in the European Union to publish a transparency notice alongside each ad, disclosing who paid for it, what election it relates to, and how audiences are being targeted.

The regulation applies broadly: political parties, individual candidates, advocacy groups, and any organisation whose advertising could influence an election or legislative process. Whether you are running a local council campaign or coordinating European Parliament advertising, the same transparency obligations apply.

The Taurus makes meeting those obligations straightforward.

Two audiences, one platform

The Taurus serves two groups that the regulation brings together:

Advertisers

If you sponsor or pay for political ads, you need to create transparency notices. The Taurus provides a guided wizard that walks you through every required field in about ten minutes. When you publish a notice, the platform generates a unique public ID and a QR code. You print the QR code on your flyer, link it in your social media ad, or include it in your broadcast spot. Anyone who scans or clicks it sees the full transparency notice at ttad.eu.

Publishers

If you are a newspaper, broadcaster, or online platform that runs political ads, the regulation requires you to verify that advertisers have created proper transparency notices. The Taurus gives publishers tools to track their advertisers, manage ad bookings, and check compliance status at a glance.

Why The Taurus exists

The Taurus was founded by someone who experienced the compliance burden firsthand — while running as a candidate in a mayoral campaign. The regulation is well-intentioned, but its requirements can feel overwhelming when you are already managing the logistics of a campaign. Fifteen mandatory fields, data controller disclosures, targeting breakdowns: it is a lot to navigate without guidance.

The Taurus was built to remove that friction. Instead of reading through legal text and building your own compliance process, you answer clear questions in a step-by-step wizard and get a regulation-compliant notice at the end.

Non-partisan by design

The Taurus is available to all political actors regardless of party, ideology, or affiliation. The platform exists to serve compliance, not to favour any political position. Every candidate and every party faces the same regulatory obligations, and every one of them deserves a simple way to meet those obligations.
