Getting started on The Taurus requires a free account. Registration is quick and does not require a credit card.
Step-by-step registration
- Go to the registration page on The Taurus.
- Enter your name, email address, and a password (minimum 8 characters).
- Click Register.
That is it. You are taken directly to your dashboard and can start creating transparency notices right away.
What happens behind the scenes
When you register, The Taurus automatically creates a personal organisation for you. This is your default workspace where your transparency notices live. You do not need to set anything up — it is ready to use immediately.
Later, you can create additional team organisations and invite colleagues to collaborate. But for your first notice, the personal organisation is all you need.
Verify your email
After registering, you will receive a verification email. While you can use The Taurus without verifying, we strongly recommend completing this step. Email verification serves two purposes:
- Legal compliance: Transparency notices are legal documents under EU Regulation 2024/900. A verified email strengthens the credibility and traceability of notices you publish.
- Account recovery: If you forget your password, you can only reset it if your email is verified.
Click the link in the verification email to confirm your address. If you do not see the email, check your spam folder.
If you received a publisher invitation
Some publishers on The Taurus invite their advertisers to register. If you received an invitation email from a publisher, simply register using the same email address that the invitation was sent to. Your account will automatically be linked to that publisher, making it easy for them to track your compliance status and for you to manage your notices in context.
Resetting your password
If you already have an account but cannot remember your password:
- Go to the login page.
- Click Forgot password.
- Enter the email address associated with your account.
- Check your inbox for a password reset link and follow the instructions.
You will be able to set a new password and log in immediately.
What to do next
Once you are logged in, you will see your dashboard. From here you can:
- Create your first transparency notice — the most common next step for new users
- Explore the platform — browse the dashboard, notices list, and organisation settings
- Invite team members — if you want colleagues to collaborate on notices
